Singapore Airlines A340-500 EWR-SIN Takeoff December 16, 2010

Going to Phuket, Thailand. Phuket (pronounced poo-ket) is really a sight to see. It is one of those places where the picture on a postcard is what it actually looks like. To get there, I used to fly Thai's TG793 17hr. flight from JFK to BKK, but in 2008, they canceled it. Even though Thai just canceled the most direct way to get to Phuket, I did not do to much complaining. For the '08 year, we flew Singapore Airlines the first year they converted their A340-500 aircraft to the all business class 100 seat layout, and let me just say, it did not disappoint. Now, two years later, I'm back on the longest flight in the world, EWR-SIN, though today we had headwinds which reduced flight time a little, but it was still a VERY long flight.

Flight #: SQ21

Seat: 14A

Flight Time: 18hrs. 15min.
