British Airways to take a hit on their income numbers
After two years, British Airways was starting to make a profit once again. However, they need to overcome a few more hurdles before it can be smooth flying. Due to the snowstorm at London Heathrow, BA is estimating that, in order to fix the many problems the weather has caused, they will need to spend about £5om. Not only was the weather an issue, it was the time when the weather struck, during one of the busiest travel times of the year.(Read full article here) It's a wonder though, that the four something inches Europe got managed to create complete chaos at the airports. At EWR and JFK, we takeoff in four inches of snow. It's the 30-inches EWR and JFK recently got that caused problems.

Flying over Alaska
Kurt Stecker's In-Flight Announcements
This guy is HILARIOUS! Kurt Stecker worked for ATA Airlines up until they ceased operations on April 3, 2008. This is a guy you would want as your flight attendant on every flight, and these two videos will show you why.

Qantas A380 Engine Troubles
Just wanted to comment on the recent Qantas A380 engine failure. I just wanted to say that I cannot imagine if they were not able to bring the plane down safely. According to experts, if there were any turbulence or if anything further went wrong with the plane, the pilots could have lost control and crashed, and the A380 carries A LOT of people.
Etihad Plane crashes on test flight

Singapore Airlines A340-500 SIN-EWR Landing January 1, 2011
Landing at EWR after a long flight from SIN. Felling pretty airsick at this point (I thought that the motion sickness pills I took before the flight were to supress the airsickness), but anyway, it was still a long flight, which concluded with a pretty hard landing.

Singapore Airlines A340-500 SIN-EWR Takeoff January 1, 2011
After two wonderful weeks, it was time to head back on SQ. I did not remember much about Changi's T3, but after going back, I have to say that T3 alone is like a city within a city. Since the SilkAir flight before put us in Singapore at 8 P.M, we obviously missed SQ22 to EWR (the flight left at noon). So, we stayed at the Crowne Plaza at Changi. That was really nice, except the bed was kind of hard. That's how I rung in the new year; at an airport hotel, thought the fact that I was listening to deadmau5 eased the pain. The next day I boarded SQ22 for the long, but shorter then coming to SIN, flight home.
